My name is Derek Chatman. I’m an author raised between South Jamaica, Queens and Roosevelt, Long Island. Much of my writing is inspired by the people, loyalty, and life experiences that shaped me growing up.



I’m the author of the Southside Kings series, an urban crime fiction story about power, loyalty, and survival, and my newest novel What She Left on My Tongue: Pleasure Has a Memory, which explores love, desire, and the memories that never truly leave us.
