Hi Steve :)

How would one define "pathological liar"? Some people GENUINELY have their own version of reality, which, to them, seems "true and genuine".

So I would say anyone's book is interesting as long as it is written authentically; its a wonder to share in someone's life story in that way; each of us is a parallel universe, right ?

Christopher Crawford | 25 comments I like how you framed that—especially the idea of people having their own version of reality.

I think the real question isn’t even “is it true?” but “does it feel honest?” Because a memoir isn’t just facts, it’s perspective. Two people can live the same life and tell completely different stories.

If someone admits they’ve lied before, but writes something that feels real and self-aware, I’d actually be more curious to read it—not less.

At the end of the day, I think readers can feel authenticity, even when the facts are messy.

Appreciate your perspective on that 🙂
