Louise Culmer | 88 comments I just read Jam Every Day by Madge Smith, which was highly enjoyable. It’s about a family living in a large old house in Devon. They are short of money and their mother, a widow, wants to sell the house and move to a flat in London, but her daughters are determined to hang onto their home and decide to start a business making jam from the abundant supply of fruit in their orchard. Great fun. It’s the sort of book that Girls Gone By might republish perhaps,

Aww, that does some like a GGBP book! Thanks for the recommendation, Louise!
