S | 2 comments Hi,
I am a teen author and this is my first step towards becoming an author .

This story focuses on the journey of an ambitious girl Amara who is determined to become a lawyer but has to face a lot of challenges to succeed. She also navigates complex friendships, discovering who truly stands by her and who only pretended to. Some friends uplift her, offering unwavering support, while others reveal themselves as opportunistic, envious, or deceitful.

I took inspiration from my own journey of competitive exams to write this novel due to which this novel will always remain close to my heart.

I also would like you all to give me your opinions so that I can improve my work because I am still learning and would like to make myself better in every way possible .

Hope you all love this journey of Amara and support me to become a successful writer.

Thank you :)

Bella Malik (youcinez) | 3 comments What a brave first step — writing from personal experience always makes stories more authentic and relatable.

Amara's journey sounds compelling. The friendship dynamics you describe — discovering who truly supports you versus who pretends to — is something every reader will connect with regardless of age.

One suggestion as you develop your writing:
show these friendship betrayals through specific scenes and dialogue rather than telling the reader about them. Let readers
discover who is genuine and who is not alongside Amara.

Looking forward to reading more of your work. Keep writing.

Melissa Xinema | 1 comments The Ancient Elements Series by Marie Sontag One of the things I appreciated most about Enlil's Adventures: Clay Tablets & Mari Spies is how it combines history and adventure so naturally. Marie Sontag creates a fascinating glimpse into ancient Babylon while keeping the story exciting and full of suspense. Enlil's determination to pursue his dreams despite his responsibilities makes him a memorable and inspiring character. The mystery involving spies and coded messages adds tension and intrigue throughout the book. This is an engaging read that both entertains and educates. I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy historical adventures with strong characters and meaningful lessons.

Marie Sontag (mariesontag) | 1 comments It sounds like this group is about our first book? Perhaps the first book that helped us dream against the odds? I don't recall any book doing that for me. Seems kind of sad!! Besides being a reader, I'm also a kid-lit author. Those are the kinds of books I hope to write for kids! What was the first book that you read that helped you dream against the odds? I'd love to hear about it! Have you read or heard of one like that for readers ages 9-15?

The premise feels heartfelt and it's clear this story means a lot to you. My only suggestion is to make the blurb a bit more specific about what makes Amara's journey unique. Wishing you the best I hope you get lots of helpful feedback.
