I am loving THE PITT. TV at its finest. 4 episodes left. I recently discovered the official HBO podcast which is released after each episode, as I think I have mentioned. It is fascinating. After the season ends, I am going back to watch season 1 and listen to the podcasts. I did not know about them back then

I am also watching High Potential, Doc, Chicago Med.

I am recording FBI and Will Trent.

I binged the new season of Virgin River. Too much making out!

Soon to come is a new season of Love on the Spectrum, which is very endearing.

Does TV include streaming shows? If so, I am watching Emily in Paris, and will be watching How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. I also love Emergency NYC, a docu-series on Netflix. My Netflix list is endless.

Sorry ladies, but I think baseball is the most boring sport ever invented, followed by golf. Just my humble opinion.

I spent way too many hours/years taking my younger brothers to their Little League games and sitting there watching them. I grew to hate every minute.

I think partly what I like about it is I can do other stuff while "watching". It's a good sport to listen to, and you'll know when to look up and watch the replay of what happened.

Playoff games though must be watched attentively.

And live games are the best. There is something about a baseball stadium...I can't explain it. Especially on Opening Day, there is something in the air. Feeling of hope.

But I know many agree with you. At my last school we arranged to go to a game together as a staff and one person didn't go because "I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than watch a baseball game, and I'm sure not going to pay for one" (the tix were $12)

Denise, I like baseball for that reason. I read and listen on the radio or watch on TV. Unlike basketball which I need to watch.

Speaking of sports, did you see Tiger Woods was in a car accident?

I can watch baseball or listen to it. It's one of the joys of summer to me.

Yes, when I saw the headline I checked to see if it was the same spot as his last accident in his Tesla, which was coming down the hill from where I hike and right near an "escape" lane you can use if you are driving too fast as he was and have too much momentum to slow down. Nope he's on the other side of the country in Florida this time

Magistrate Claire Lewis Jones - who's on a panel that decides on parole, etc. - is on the horns of a dilemma when her teenage daughter is caught up in a case involving theft, arson, and attempted murder.

Interesting premise.

I watched 4 episodes. I didn't realize that is all that has been released on regular Britbox. I have to wait a week for episode 5 and another week for episode 6.

I hope I can remember the plot !

Fortunately, I was able to turn the closed caption on as some of the Welsh dialogue was hard for me to understand, especially the daughter.

It's an interesting show. Odd how they have volunteer judges.

LOL. I have the same misgivings when I have to wait for future episodes. For BritBox, I gave in and upgraded to BritBox premier, which is a few more dollars every month. I resisted mightily for quite a while, but finally did it. 😊

I saw 'The Night Manager' was coming out with a second season, so I decided to (finally) watch season one. It's on Prime.

Tom Hiddleston plays a night manager of high class hotels and Hugh Laurie plays a billionaire, criminal, international arms dealer. British Intelligence (Olivia Colman) recruits the night manager to go undercover and embed himself in the arms dealer's circle, so they can take him down.

It's not bad, though it goes overboard on the sex scenes . I'm guessing the show is aimed at the males of the species. LOL

No, I've not seen or heard of the show.

I've started to watch the first season of Broadchurch. It's good.

It's a British detective crime show. Streaming on Netflix.

My niece told me to watch it. She said the acting of the two leads were terrific. I've watched two episodes of the first season and I'm enjoying it.

Broadchurch is great. There's an American remake as well, called Gracepoint. Oddly (or weirdly) enough, it also stars David Tennant, but's he's American this time. LOL

JoAnn, I've watched Gracepoint and it's very good. It's almost the exact same story as Broadchurch.

It feels like an alternate universe, with David Tennant suddenly being American.

I just watched the trailer and Tennant comments throughout it, with his Scottish accent. Weird!

I did see Broadchurch, and I liked it a lot. Not the series, but the movie. Gorgeous cinematography. Good acting. Sad, sad, sad. I think I even have the DVD. I was unaware of a series. I just looked it up, and learned the first season of the series is the movie. Tragic, but sad and gorgeously filmed.

I watched the first season. Eight episodes.

I prefer shows the wrap up in one hour episodes. It was good. However, I won't continue. I don't watch much TV and having to watch 8 hours was too much for me. And apparently it continues on into next season !

Are you certain that there was a movie? It is billed as "an original series".

No, JoAnn, I'm not positive it was a movie. I watched it in one go , I think, with some family members, and it was all about who killed a little boy, Dyllan, Danny, something like that in a coastal town in England. It could be we wanted the entire first season, and I'm erroneously remembering it as a movie.

You are almost certainly right. I don't watch a lot of TV or movies. I do remember it was extremely good, though sad, and very atmospheric. Somewhere around here I have the DVD, but I'd have to hunt for it, but I think you are right.

"Doctor Foster" (2 seasons 2015 -2017) BritBox

If you use streaming services, you know that a jillion promotions show up, trying to entice you to watch this or that. I was intrigued by the description of Doctor Foster, so it drew me in.

The series is "woman scorned on steroids.' Gemma (Dr. Foster) is a physician married to Simon (a property developer), and they have an adolescent son. Gemma finds a long blonde hair on Simon's scarf, discovers he's cheating, and goes a bit nuts.

This is a very mundane theme, the men (in general) come off very badly, but I felt compelled to go on to season 2. (Sometimes i'm a masochist). Well.....it's like a woman scorned elevated to a nuclear fusion bomb.

The thing is, the acting is superb. 😊

I really recommend the official HBO podcast...it gives so much insight into the show, how it is filmed, what goes into it....amazing.

Today it was mentioned that there is an Asian man in the ER, standing by his wife's bedside. He is an extra and stood in that position for the entire 7 months of filming, often 15 hours a day!!! Just one of the many tidbits i loved.

I don't watch The Pitt JoAnn. I don't have HBO. I know it's won many awards and is highly praised. (I hope it comes to other streaming services at some time.)

Barbara, sorry I mistakenly thought you watched The Pitt. Hope you get to see it sometime. Alternatively, you could get a one-month HBO subscription and binge both seasons!

"After The Flood" (BritBox) Season 2

In Season 1, corrupt police officers and civilian collaborators in the town of Waterside have been enriching themselves with development schemes, and the resultant flooding endangers the public. Two murders are connected with the illegal schemes.

In Season 2, there's still corruption in Waterside, and this time the river is contaminated with toxic chemical waste. Again, murders result.

This is a good series.

It looks good but I don't like to commit to 12 hours of TV. If each episode is contained I'm good with that.

The episodes are NOT contained Alias. It's a continuous story. It's quite addictive so if you start watching you might get hooked. 😊

Well, Barbara, you hooked me. Even though I do not like shows that go on for a number of episodes, I did watch the first 3 episodes of season 1 and I am enjoying it. :)

Though so many of these shows the main detective or cop never follow rules ! I watched one show, "Code of Silence (2025) a thriller series starring Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison, a deaf canteen worker who helps police with a criminal investigation using her lip-reading skills, " I became so annoyed at her breaking all the rules and going rogue I stopped watching it. It was too silly.

I'm watching Masterchef Australia, which I love.

I started watching The Bold And The Beautiful a few months ago, which has me hooked.

As far as British series go, I love "Cracker," and "Prime Suspect." I even have the DVDs.

Mrs Brown's Boys is my favourite show.

For anyone who liked LEGALLY BLONDE, Prime has a series coming out on July 1 entitled ELLE, a prequel. Looking forward to watching it with my granddaughter.

I have never seen Legally Blonde. I love Reese Witherspoon though.

Legally Blonde is old and probably dated, Therese, but still a fun movie.

If anyone watches THE BEAR, it's 5th and final seson drops on July 25.

In a surprise move, a new episode was released 2 days ago, entitled GARY. It is set 5 years before the show started. I believe it is a road trip that Mikey and Richie take.

Hopefully I will see Legally Blonde one day. It looks funny and cute.

I am watching Ambulance Australia. It is set in Sydney, NSW. I love reality shows like this.

Several of us here enjoyed Margo's Got Money Troubles . I just found out that the book was made into an 8-part mini-series on APPLE TV. Here's a review from NPR:
