Neer | 89 comments Dear Carol,

I see a book The Beautiful Miss Burroughs by Anne Merdith being filed under an author who has the same name.:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

The author of this book is actually Lucy Beatrice Malleson who wrote mystery novels under the pseudonym of Anthony Gilbert and more mainstream and a couple of mystery novels under the name of Anne Meredith. I request you to please correct this. Also, here's the cover of the book at Amazon:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/BEAUTIFUL-MI...

Hi Neer

I can correct this, but I'll do it a bit later.

Hi Neer

Different authors with the same name are handled on Goodreads by putting extra spaces between the first & last name (this can only be seen in edit mode) The other Anne Meredith is on the default (one space) profile, so 'your' Anne Meredith's books are always going to land there unless they have been uploaded by a librarian.

Anyway done but it will take around half an hour for the book to migrate to your Anne Meredith's profile. If you have the page numbers & a short description I can add that as well. The page count should not include advertising materials, an extract from another book or blank pages right at the end.

It will probably take a while to be searchable so please use this link in the meantime.

Neer | 89 comments Hello Carol, here's the blurb of The Beautiful Miss Burroughs:

Who was Laura Burroughs? What was her history? What happened to her after she had taken London by storm during her first season and made the marriage of the year during her second? Beauty like hers is legendary, yet fifty years after she was painted by John Armitage as The Beautiful Miss Burroughs, nothing is known of her, not even if she is alive or dead. Her young relative, an American over in England for a few months during the Second World War, resolves to learn her story and discover whether, in the words of his young English wife, it really makes for happiness being beautiful as that.

The page count is 254.

Thanks

#1-5 done although it will probably take at least half an hour to display properly

#3 - is Howell, Soskin the correct name of the publisher? Should it be Soskin Howell or Howell & Soskin?

#6-10 done. Please check I haven't missed any.
If you own Christine, if you could scan or photograph the book cover.
Thanks

Neer | 89 comments Thank you so much, Carol. This must have been timeconsuming. The name of that publisher is Howell, Soskin. If I find a cover of Christine, I will share. Take care.

Thanks Neer
I'll check on sites I'm allowed to use, otherwise I will see if I can crop that page a bit better.

P.S. not that time consuming as there weren't too many editions. Each edition has to be moved individually.
