What do you all think of Furie, the Queen (if you will) of the Valkyries? When do you think she'll make an appearance.

I think KC is going to pair her with Kristoff, leader of the good vampire army (whose name escapes me right now).

message 2: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 121 comments I think Furie's going to loose the PLOT when she discovers how many vamps have blooded with the valkyrie :) But as always, it will be entertaining.
I really dont like Kristoff... for some odd reason. And since my original Lothaire and Furie pair idea has been shot down... I dont know who else to pair her with :(

I cannot wait for Regin's story!!! Can I tell you who i think her berserker is?!?! Huh? huh? well... I'm gunna say it anyway. I think it's the druglord who features in Kaderin and Sebastien's story.! Only this time around, he's half immortal... so he will make it pass the age of 35, this time. Hopefully. Toss Regin in the mix, and viola! the cake is worth the bake after all :)

Well, we will see who KC pairs with Furie. It may not be Kristoff at all. I just think that would be serious DRAMA since she hates vampires. Yes, she is not going to be a happy camper with all the Vampy in-laws.

I have this feeling Regin's story will be one of the last written, but I'm eager to see her fall in love. She's so composed, and love makes you do the wacky! :)

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Regin's story is going to be one of the books in the trilogy that comes out next fall.
And KC has confirmed that Kristoff is Furie's mate.

Thanks for the info, Jan. I had this feeling she would pair them. It's going to be crazy. I'm glad that she's doing Regin's story soon. I'd like to see her go wacky and loose her sterling composure. Evil of me, I suppose. :)

message 7: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) I can't wait for Furie's book! KC said in her forum that she already wrote the scene when Furie finally rises and it's going to be really intense. I'm so impatient to read it. LOL.

I'm really excited too, Harper. Thanks for the news!

message 9: by Mariel (new)

Mariel (fuchsiagroan) I'm dying to read this, but it is going to be bittersweet if it is also the last book.

Kristoff and Furie will be a great couple. Yes yes yes. *excited*

Yeah, I think so, too. :) I have a feeling they're relationship is going to be explosive.

Ilse Snell | 121 comments Guys, I just finished "Pleasure of a Dark Prince"and in there somewhere it was said the Furie and Kristoff are first cousins. I'm all for breaking boundaries... but incest, really?! that will take some getting use to :)

message 13: by Ez (last edited Apr 19, 2010 12:23PM) (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) Hmm, I don't remember that. I thought the mention of first cousins was referring to Kristoff and Emmaline? Must look it up...but I thought that Emma and Kristoff are related because Demestriu was his uncle.

Ilse Snell | 121 comments maybe i read the setence wrong. pg 116 3/4 way down.
sowwy :(
i really dont want Furie and Kristof as a couple, so i'm grasping at straws.

message 16: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) Yeah, I just found that part and it is talking about Emma and Kristoff because when Emma was delirious she was saying stuff about how Kristoff has her blood and Lachlain was just explaining what she meant to Lucia.

Out of curiosity, why don't you want them as a couple?

Ahhh, yes... that makes much more sense..
Re: coupling of Kristoff and Furie.
Well,I've kinda been wanting her to be with Lothaire. cause he's awesome. but also, I just never really warmed up to Kristoff. and i know i might be boiled alive for this comment, but he just seems so cold and aloof, when ever he made an appearance with the wroth brothers, there wasnt said much regarding him as a character.... and i dunno how to explain it.... he's like this picture with an outline, but no colouring... does that make sense?! anyhow, i'm sure KC with devulge more about Kristoff in later stages.... and another thing that slightly irks me, is that he seems slightly ignorant of the Lore, which i understand i suppose, cause he was raised as a human, so he sould be more inclined to be humane, but then why walk the war grounds turning mortals into vamps (a sector of the lore you know nothing about) whereby essentially redoubling the ignorance... cause he sure as hell cant teach them anything about the world he's exposing them to...

sooo... i'm ready to be burned at the stake. but that's how i feel with regards to the character and how he was portrayed so far

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments I know what you mean, Kristoff does seem cold and aloof, and he hasn't really been in it that much so not much characterization has gone in there. But it will be fun to watch his cold exterior crack as he and Furie get together. Which is just my guess on what will happen.

With the turning thing I get that, but he doesn't seem all the concerned with the rest of the Lore, just killing off the horde and becoming King.

message 19: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) At this stage, I'm kind of apathetic toward Kristoff. In "Untouchable" (Danii and Murdoch's story), I did feel a bit sorry for him because he seemed somewhat sad (that may be be too strong a word) about the fact Murdoch and Nikolai had found their Brides so close together but he was still waiting. And I do like the fact that he's actively trying to find Furie to rescue her. Other than that, though, he has definitely come off as cold and aloof...but not totally unsympathetic. Even though he was ignorant of the Lore, I understand why he built up his army. He probably didn't think he had much of a chance of going up against the Horde and Demestriu on his own. Though this does make him seem very selfish, it's true, but I think he at least offered the people he turned a choice. But, really, it's hard to feel much for him one way or another right now because we've only caught glimpses of him so far.

As for Furie/Lothaire, I suppose they would also make a pretty explosive couple. I'm a Lothaire/Nix shipper, though, so I'm kind of glad that KC has confirmed Kristoff and Furie as a couple already.

Oh, and I just thought of something else regarding Furie/Kristoff. I think that if Kristoff seemed cold/aloof, Furie seemed even more so. From the few scenes we've seen and what we've heard about her, she seems pretty ruthless to me. I think her mate would have to be as strong as her, personality-wise, otherwise he'd never stand a chance. I hope that KC fleshes Kristoff out more and makes him seem more worthy of her. Out of the other IAD males we've met so far, I'd agree that Lothaire would probably be her only other potential match with regards to both physical strength and personality type.

Ilse Snell | 121 comments RE: furie needing a person with a strong personality, i agree Harper, she's hard-core to the bone, that "lesson"she taught emma to not go in the sun. tough love. That was probably the most intense description of her character so far.

re: different opinions... aaahhh, i love it when people differ from opinions, and they explain why they think the way they think.... opens you up to a glimpse to a situation you would alternatively not have gotten

I thought she seemed pretty hardcore in NrftW, too, when Kaderin tried to follow her when she went to face Demestriu and she broke Kad's arm (if I'm remembering right) and knocked her unconscious to stop her. She does not play around.

About the differences of opinion, I always love it when I can get into an actual discussion with people about it and no one really gets argumentative, you know? It's just a mellow discussion. I don't like it when you post a contrary opinion and people jump down your throat about it just because you disagree and ignore any valid points you might make.

Yes, I love talking to people, and I have no problem if someone disagrees. It's just if they are rude or dismissive, or are determined to shove their opinions down your throat that gets me. Or they make you feel like your stupid because you think differently. I'll walk away before I'll get into an argument over a difference of opinion.

Crystal (crys25) | 17 comments RNDo does it say how many books she's planning to write for the series?

Danielle-I completely agree with you, it's great to have a friendly debate. It's rudeness and ignorance that can be horrible. Everyone is entitled to an opinion-there's no need to be flamer to express yourself.

Crystal, I think it's a sign of maturity when people can disagree and have a friendly discussion while doing it.

message 30: by Crystal (new)

Crystal (crys25) | 17 comments Absolutely! When I engage in a good debate about a book or a series sometimes someone will have picked up on something that I missed or forgotten about. It's a good refresher before a start a new book in a series since I don't have time anymore to re-read the whole series prior to a new release.

No she dont say it. She just say that after PDOP, there are trilogy book that incude Carrow, Lothaire and Regin.
I guess, maybe there will be 14 books or more
as long as she dont lost her focus in this series ^^
There are many character that dont telling yet..

message 34: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) I agree, Rend. There will be at least 14 books, possibly 15 or 16. Carrow, Lothaire, Regin, and then Furie/Kristoff, which I heard might take two books. And, if Nix isn't Lothaire's HEA, then she'll have a book, too. So right now I guess it's hard to say. LOL.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments I hope there are a load more books I will definately keep reading it until she runs out of words : ) I want to see all the characters get their HEAs

message 40: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) I'll probably cry when it ends, too. It's my favorite paranormal romance series at the moment. It'll be sad to see it end.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments I think we will probably have a group mourning when the last book comes out

message 42: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) | 164 comments I think there are many story overlapping in KC books that sometimes make me curious about when the event is done. But thanks for KC forum, i get the timeline in IAD world.^^
And i think Carrow,Regin and Lothaire's books is happen in same time, IMO

message 43: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) I agree, Rend. I think all of their stories will be happening simultaneously.

message 44: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) | 164 comments sometimes its make me frustated too Harper, cos there are many event that happen in same time. Make me re-read again the previous book to understand. But this is KC and I love her ^^
