Hi, just checking to see if a librarian has read my request yet. :)Regards, Francisco Ibarra Author.
Hi, we appreciate your patience as we work through the tremendous backlog (+-3900 requests). Most librarians work from last activity to recent activity. Once your request has been completed you will get a message here. Meanwhile if you want to read more about why your request hasn’t been completed yet, you can follow this link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... . Thank you for your understanding.
Hi, thank you for your response. I read through the link you sent me, I appreciate it. I hope this book will be added soon, but, if theres anything I am missing, or doing wrong, please let me know. Thank you for replying.
Best Regards, Francisco Ibarra Author.
Is the book going to have an ISBN? If so please let us know when you have it as we can't add, edit or remove an ISBN/ASIN once the book is added to Goodreads. Once we have the ISBN we can add the book.
Okay, sorry, but according to information, here is what I gathered: Goodreads librarians can add books without an ISBN or ASIN, as ISBNs are not required for valid, unique book records. Librarians frequently add older, self-published, or foreign books by leaving the ISBN field blank and inputting the title, author, and publisher. But, if thats not true, Here is the ISBN:
978-1-291-69866-4
Added https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...Yes, thank for the info, I didn't say we couldn't add a title without an ISBN, just that we can't add, edit or remove an ISBN later.
In fact, if we add your book without an ISBN and you later get an ISBN the process would be:
1. We make a new edition with ISBN.
2. We separate the old edition without ISBN from any other editions. (This can take a while on GR system)
3. We combine the new edition with ISBN, with the old edition without ISBN. (This can take a while on GR system)
4. We then delete the old edition which effectively means we've merge the two editions as all ratings, reviews etc are carried over.
5. We then have to re-combine this edition with any other editions. (This can take a while on GR system).
AND, if in the meantime , more than 5 members have added it to their shelves to review, to be read etc, then this can only be done by Super-librarians.
Considering how much of a backlog we have this could mean waiting a month or more until a volunteer librarian picks it up.
Can you see why we ask for an ISBN first?
Yes, thank you for informing me.Thank you for adding the book! It ended up on the wrong author profile. Could you please move it to my profile?

Also, please update the blurb. Here is the new one: A dark, provocative, adrenaline-charged gothic horror novel about a young woman drawn into her husband’s ancestral estate—a place threaded with grief, whispered secrets, and dolls that seem far too alive.
When Eleanor Whitlock dies, the doors of Ashcroft Manor open once more. Lily Whitlock arrives alongside Edmund to comfort his grieving father, expecting only a period of mourning within the vast countryside estate. Instead, she finds herself trapped within a house that feels watchful from the very moment she steps inside. The corridors breathe with cold air. Footsteps echo from empty rooms. Servants exchange frightened glances when certain names are spoken. And hidden deep within the attic rests a velvet box of ancient nesting dolls whose painted smiles seem to shift whenever no one is looking.
At first, Lily attempts to dismiss the strange occurrences as products of grief and exhaustion. But when violent accidents begin unfolding throughout the manor, and the household slowly turns against her, she becomes convinced Ashcroft is hiding something far older than family secrets. The house remembers its dead too well. Its walls crack wider each night. Its silence listens. And the dolls—those dreadful little figures nested one inside another—appear wherever they should not be, as though guiding her toward something waiting deep within the bones of the estate.
As Lily’s bond with Edmund begins to fracture beneath the pressure of fear, she uncovers fragments of a horrifying history tied to the Whitlock bloodline, a curse buried for generations, and a presence within Ashcroft that does not intend to let her leave untouched. Because some houses are haunted by ghosts.
Ashcroft is haunted by inheritance.
