Hey Remy have you figured out the point system yet?

No not really, I was wondering if any of you had ideas.

I was thinking like botm could be worth more points then we could do the rest by how many pages there are like

Botm: 200
100 pages:20
200 pages: 30
300: 40
400: 50
And so on

And we should go based off of actual book length cause on E-readers the font size can make it have more or less pages. And they could just round up or down so like 184 would be 30 points but 146 would be 20 points. We would have to go and fact check the point values just to make sure they are accurate but bc they are split up between us it should be easy ish. We should also have ppl log all their books at the end of the month all together so it will be easier for us to count them up and not have to scroll and count each individual book.

we can also have a theme for each month like in may if you read a book with flowers on it’s cover then it’s extra points or like in october if you read a thriller it’s extra

The book of the month is worth 200 extra points. (Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood.)
The length of the book adds points to the sum (100 pages is 10 extra points, and 200 pages is 20 extra points). Anything under 100 pages is 5 points.
The First book read each month is a freebie! A freebie is worth 100 points.
For the month of April, every book with a flower on the cover is worth an extra 10 points.

Every book must follow the structure seen here. The top line is the book title and author. The bottom line starts with the Book of the Month, freebie, pages, and flowers.

100 (Freebie) + 50 (536 pages) = 150 points

The Faraway Inn by Sarah Beth Durst
30 (372 pages) + 10 (flowers) = 40 points

Total = 190 points

Is the botm worth only the 200 points? Or does it stack as well, with flowers or total pages.

it doesn't really matter, 200 points is more than it would be worth if it wasn't stacked so i think it will be fine.

I think that if we have to we can make it worth a different point amount each month but 200 should be fine for C&M
