Hi, I don't know if this helps, but I had this issue. (I'm actually waiting to join a review round). I posted a review, after 5 days it didn't come up, so I posted it again, and this time it did. I'm not sure if it's a glitch in their system or something else, but this is the second or third time I had to do that. But thank you for this. It's a good solution.

What about redacting personal information, such as one's real name and location - which Amazon likes to show - or icons in one's taskbar that get included in a screenshot that shows the bottom of the screen but are no one else's business?

You can black out the other items on the page, or anything else that indicates personal info. "Altering" is a reference to changing what item the review was for. The only person who will see the screenshot is the moderator, but I think we'll only really need the address bar and the date.

And the "thank you for reviewing" part. Only pertinent information related to the review of the book itself, showing that you had just submitted a review for that particular book on Amazon. We don't need to see home addresses, or previous unrelated purchases.

So, we’re asking for everyone to take a screenshot of the Amazon page that appears when you post a review. It’s the page that says “Thank you for reviewing…” In that screenshot, please also include the bottom of the screen, as the right-hand corner will verify the date.
We’ll also need to see the URL in the screenshot, as the URL includes the book’s unique Amazon product ID number (thus proving the review was for the book and not something else.)
This page only appears right after you post the review, so you’ll have to be mindful about catching it in time.
If the Amazon review isn’t up in two weeks, you can email this screenshot to the moderator and be cleared for the next round. If the review does post after that, we’d still appreciate you posting the link in that group’s review thread (as always, please post Amazon links in a new post).
Screenshots are intended as a backup method when reviews are delayed for over two weeks. Members who frequently rely on screenshots instead of live review links risk being blocked from future rounds.
Screenshots should not be altered, edited, or manipulated in any way. Providing false, misleading, or manipulated proof will lead to removal from the review group.
