Hello! Im good pleased to meet you too! Sorry I just now said hi I went camping this weekend in the land of no service!
Thatβs okay. First one is tough. I love staying at home curled up with a book or my fiancΓ© with something we can binge on tv. We like our detective shows and dramas. I also love a game show. I work as a sales assistant for a heart charity. When weβre not at home I like exploring new charity shops for books. And going to gigs and comedy nights.
What about you?
It sounds like our home life is the same and we watch the same tv shows! I also have two boys that keep me busy with their sporting activities (soccer and baseball)! #momlife I am a librarian at a public library! I love cozy nights at home reading and having tv in the background!
I finished my book. The Charity Shop Detective Agency by Peter Boland. I combined your favorite tv shows and job into one book. It was very good and interesting.
Theyβre are allowing mine, but wouldβve preferred me to read something else by asking u more questions Iβll do that next time, but time isnβt on my side this week.
I finished Rebecca Anderson losing it - I choose it as your a librarian and I got it from the library

A walk to remember film had a major impact on my life. As it made me feel love more. And want to show love because of how the the film is done Jamie is a bookworm and it came out the year my dad died I canβt recall if I watched it when it came out or later . I love romance books and films and this was an emotional watch. And impacted how I felt love and the music made me happy too
My favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You. I connected with the sibiling rivalry part of the movie and also Kat's love for literature and finding that was a good way of expressing herself was through poetry was relateable.
Some weeks are better than others. But think every other week as itβs due Sunday and itβs Friday What do you think Amy? Good choice on film.
Found a book about sibling rivalry so Iβm going to read this one Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins
I have a book ready to read as well. I can read by Sunday but if you need more time im good to switch to biweekly.
I just can't keep switching it every week. I allowed people to switch so that people can get a feel for the pace and decide what they would like. If you want to switch again at some point down the line, that's okay just not every week lol it's too confusing for me that way.
So once you guys decide what you would like to do moving forward, just let me know π

My fear of daddy long legs is probably the easiest one to get rid of. The hardest one would be the fear of losing people I love. I lost my parents and brother as a teenager and Iβve never got over that loss in the sense that when I donβt hear from someone I worry somethings happened to them and that theyβve passed away.
My fear of being locked into a store after closing is the hardest one to get rid of. I read a book in third grade that made that fear possible and now I cant be in a store if its about to close, I have actual panic attack. (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...) My fear of roller coasters would be the easier one to get rid of.

Question: If you could permanently remove one fear from yourself, which fear would be hardest to let go of?
How it fits: Amy is scared of been locked in a store so never goes into a store if itβs close to closing time. It stems from reading a book in third grade made that possible. Melissa is the MC in my book is wanting out of her controlling marriage when lock down happens to the whole country and shes locked in with the person she wants to escape the most.

Question: If you could permanently remove one fear from yourself, which fear would be hardest to let go of? Which one would be the easiest?
How it fits?: This is story about grief and how loss weaves your personality afterward. It fits because Kat's Biggest Fear is losing more people she loves because she has experienced it at a young age.

Question #4
If your life came with a magical companion, what kind of creature would follow you around? Explain why you think it would have chosen you (and why you would have chosen it).
What role would it play in your life (protector, guide, troublemaker, best friend, emotional support creature, sidekick, etc.)? What would it represent about your personality or life?
Some additional things you could share/think about for your answer, if you'd like:
* Would it be similar to you or your complete opposite?
* What would you name it?
* What would its personality be like?
* Would it help you become a better person or constantly get you into trouble?
* Would it have any special abilities? If so, what?

Mine would be a baby dragon. It would be a sidekick that I nurtured. Being a mom of two boys the motherly role a baby dragon fits me well.

π How It Works
β’ Every week or every other week, a new question will be posted. Questions will be picked at random so it is possible for a pair to receive questions that no other pair will receive.
β’ Both partners will write their answer to the question in this thread
β’ Then, you will select a book to read based on/inspired by your partner's answer
β’ After you finish your book, you might want to share how you connected their story to the book. They might be curious. A shorter explanation of this will also be in your completion post so it's up to you how you want to do it!
β’ Completions are due Sunday at 7pm EST. If you chose the weekly option, they will be due every Sunday & if you chose biweekly then they will be due every other Sunday. New questions will be posted Sunday evening.
---
π About the Questions
Questions will vary in tone. Some may be more surface-level, while others may invite a more personal or introspective response. You may answer at whatever level feels comfortable to you.
For example, if the question were:
βWhat is something that changed you?β
One person might answer with something simple, like moving to a new city or starting a new job.
Someone else might answer with something more reflective, like a friendship ending or a moment that changed how they saw themselves.
Both types of answers are completely valid.
**Remember** the more details you provide your partner, the more they have to go off of when choosing a book. Even simple answers can be given with detail.
---
π Choosing the Book
After your partner answers, you will choose a book to read based on some meaningful connection to what they shared.
The connection can be based on things like:
β’ a theme (e.g., grief, identity, love, growth)
β’ a situation or dynamic (e.g., friendship conflict, starting over, family relationships)
β’ a specific detail (e.g., a job, hobby, or life event mentioned)
β’ a person, place, or object (e.g., a character/author with the same name, a setting, a time period, or a meaningful item)
β’ or another thoughtful connection/interpretation of their answer
For example:
β’ If your partner talks about moving somewhere new, you might choose a book set in that location or about starting over.
β’ If they mention a specific name, you could choose a book with a character or author with that name.
β’ If they describe a relationship dynamic, you might choose a book that explores something similar.
This challenge is not meant to be overly rigid, but your choice should have a clear and thoughtful connection.
If you feel like you need more to work with, you are encouraged to ask follow-up questions. This helps you better understand your partnerβs answer, clarify details, and make a more intentional and meaningful book choice while getting to know each other better.
