Aron Ferreira | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'm Aron, a physician from Brazil who just wrote a novel between hospital shifts.

The book is called POTUS.EXE: When Democracy Elects an Algorithm. It's set in Washington in 2037, when the United States elects ELECTRA, an AI, as president. The premise isn't about a machine going rogue. ELECTRA works exactly as designed. The problem is everything else: the humans around her, the institutions that weren't built for this, and the question of what accountability even means when the decision-maker has no ego, no fear, and no ambition.

The story follows an investigative journalist, an AI ethics professor, and a Vice President who starts to wonder whether she's a partner or a placeholder.

I tried to write the techno-thriller I wanted to read — one that takes the technology seriously without turning it into a villain. If that sounds like your kind of book, I'd love to hear what you think.

It's available now on Amazon for pre-sale. Happy to answer any questions about the premise, the research, or what it's like to write fiction on twelve-hour ICU shifts.
