One Point Tasks

Joseph Heller, Jeffery Deaver, Peter Carey, Daphne du Maurier, and Jodi Picoult, all have Birthdays this month.
Read a book by one of these Authors.

1.3 (5/16) LOVE A TREE DAY
Read a book with a large tree or bunch of trees (show cover) -OR- Tree in title.

1.4 BUZZWORD
Buzzword this month is MAKE
Read a book with the word: Make, Makes, Made, Making, or Maker etc....in the Title.

1.5 READ THE ALPHABET: LETTER V
Read a book that starts with the Letter V (exclude A,An,or The) -OR- Author's FIRST/LAST name that begins with the Letter V.

1.6 (5/23) LUCKY PENNY DAY
Read a book that begins with one of the letters in LUCKY ((exclude A, An, or The) -OR- with the Author/Main Character's FIRST/LAST name is PENNY.

1.7 (Tessa's Task) HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICHARD !
My husband was born in May.
Read a book that was first published in May (any year)

1.8 (The Adventures Task) ALPHABET
A is the 1st letter of the alphabet. H is the 8th letter of the alphabet.
Read a book with both letters (A+H) present in either:
a) first letter of the title (excluding a/an)
b) first letter of the author's first name
c) first letter of the author's family name

1.9 (Linda C's Task) RANDOM READ
Set your TBR/Want to Read list to 50 per page and Random sort.
Read one of those 50 titles - your choice
If your TBR pile is less than 50 (really?!) - set your Books/page at 10 and do the Random sort - just want to keep this truly Random.

1.10 (Amber's Task) STAR WARS DAY - May the Fourth Be With You
I know this one is on repeat every year but it's one of my fun May Holidays.
Read a book that is the 4th of a series -or- has stars on the cover (show cover).

Read 2 Books with a green cover (+70%).

1. Richard was a Vietnam veteran. Read a book with a speaking character is on active duty or a veteran of military service - any war, any country, any branch of service.

2. He was in international business and travel a LOT. Read a book set in a country NOT your own. Tell us where you live and where the book is set.


Three Point Tasks

3.1 (Linda C's Task) ROCHESTER LILAC FESTIVAL
Read 3 Books representing 3 aspects of the Festival

a) The Lilacs - Read a book where the cover is >60% white or some shade of purple or there is an actual lilac on the cover (show cover).

b) The 5K/10 Runs - Read a book with a MPG of SPORTS or someone runs in a race or is a jogger/runner (tell us which).

c) Farmer's Market - Read a book featuring a farmer/rancher or it's cover has some farm produce on it (show cover).

d) Food, Drink Tents & Trucks - Read a book something related to one of these on the cover - e.g. cooked food, baked goods, beverage, festival tent (not camping), food truck (not regular truck). It has to be something that could connect with a festival or fair (show cover).

e) Music - Read a book with a MPG of MUSIC or has a musical instrument on the cover (show cover).

3.2 Linda C 's Task) SERIES READS
Read 3 Books

Read 3 series books - they can
- be all in the same series, maybe complete it
- be in 3 different series, move them along
- start a new series, it looks interesting
Be sure to include the series name and its numbers in the series
