I like the story and wish I knew my own lineage like this story. However, there are so many characters. I believe it is harder to keep track because I am on audiobook and not reading and seeing the spelling of the names that are unusual to me.
I have both the audio and libby kindle version. The first page of the book was a chart of the family tree of who was who in which family. Which told me there were going to be many characters to unpack here. I had referred to it a few times in the beginning to get people straight.
Interesting thought that siblings/sisters are more important because they’re blood relation vs their own kids because their spouse isn’t technically of blood relation and not as “powerful”
