Reading on the beach, or on the deck, I am happy as possible, even though the books I'm reading are heavy

I haven't read outside yet this year. Magdelanye, I'm glad that you have had the opportunity already. I finished The Cape Ann. Despite some hard topics, it's a sweet story told through the eyes of a 6 year old girl who takes things she's told quite literally.
I've now started a murder mystery, The Murder at Sissingham Hall.
Magdelanye, I'm reading the opposite of you.....nothing heavy.
Its not by design Petra...I like to have a balanced array but lately it seems that heavy prevails.I did adore Horizons and certainly loved the Sarah Dunant sequel in In The Name of the Family
Sweden
Orkneys
Spending more time in the garden with what once upon a time would be unseasonal weather now becoming normality of the extremes of climate change.
Ice, our temperatures are warmer than usual, too. ......only these warmer temperatures are becoming the new normal. It's sad......beautiful, but sad.
It seems to me, living at the very edge of the continent, that it is perfect weather for May. The last few weeks have been raucous with seals mating and birds with their courtship songs.I am not saying that climate change is not having its effects but right here and now I am loving the longer days and reading on the beach
