Anyone else’s head still spinning from that ending because… same. I went into this book fully prepared for Medusa to be that girl, only to find out she was more like a cameo queen than the plot‑shaping force I was promised. The way I was hyped and then gently let down should honestly be studied.
And don’t even get me started on the Kharon-Alexis-Augustus speed‑run situationship arc. Those “bonds” developed faster than a TikTok trend and had the emotional depth of a kiddie pool. The author tried to dress it up as love, but babe… it was giving lust wearing a trench coat and hoping no one noticed.
The whole thing read a lot like the previous book - fun, chaotic, and written with the exact energy of a high schooler who has opinions about romance but has never actually experienced it. Was it messy? Yes. Did it keep me hooked? Also, yes. Did I feel a tiny bit relieved when I finally hit the last page? Absolutely.
And yet… here I am, fully expecting another book in the series and already mentally preparing to read it because apparently, I enjoy suffering.

Meghan Franks | 10 comments Oh my gosh, I couldn't have said it better. But definitely feel another book is not only going to happen, but the way this one ended, left everything opened.... there are still things I need to know.

Hayley (wildegang) | 10 comments I was definitely confused at the end that there isn't another book, because that didn't feel like the end.

I had hoped Medusa would be a bigger part of the story and then I felt like the author retconned everything at the end to make Medusa important.

Could I put the book down? No. Am I glad I stuck it out? Not sure yet.
