Dr. Brown made an observation of what Christ had said, that when He returned, He would send His "angels" to gather His "elect" from all parts of the world (Matthew 24:31). Since the mid-nineteenth century, there had been a stream of inventions to facilitate worldwide travel and communication, that the "angels" would not be able to do without in their assignment - inventions such as the telephone, radio, television, motorcar, aeroplane, email, etc. Suddenly, for the first time in human history, it was within the realm of possibility for human "angels" to travel easily anywhere in the world to carry out a mission on behalf of the Promised One when He made His advent. What better time, he asked his colleagues, for the Promised One to have made His appearance?

"I was studying the biblical prophecies yesterday," Ibrahim Seidu said excitedly, "and what struck me was Prophet Issa's parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24:32-33, when He explained that just as the fig tree's branches and leaves could give an indication of the approach of summer, so the fulfilment of the various prophecies would indicate that the coming of the Desired One was near... was at the gate."

The executive secretary was instructed to record the outcome of the research:

THE PROMISED ONE'S ARRIVAL DATE
1st "Possibility": The Promised One has already come (even if the "when" and the "how" cannot be explained).
2nd "Possibility": The Promised One will come in our time, perhaps even tommorrow.

Gatekeepers - The Quest for Clues to an Age-Old Riddle

I read somewhere your 'Gatekeepers' is a work of fiction. Are the characters eg Dr Brown a figment of imagination and did the 'action' happen? It gives the impression the facts are laid lightl over what we take as true. Then again what is true? I heard some hundreds of years before Christ arrived there had been another 'person' like him.There is even a book written about the happenings.I can't remember the exact name but it had the word 'cross' in it and the book was published by a Wiltshire company in the UK. All this makes for interesting reading.

"Gatekeepers" is indeed a work of fiction, so the characters are not real people and the "action" did not "happen" in the real world, but the quotations from the Bible and other holy Books are "real", and the conclusions are "possible". It is left for each reader to decide where he or she stands on the profound subjects that are raised in the book.
