name: moe.. though names feel like labels stuck on things that were never asked if they wanted to exist..pronouns: he/him, for lack of anything more honest..
hobbies: solitude, mostly.. the kind that isn't chosen so much as arrived at.. chopin at low volume, late.. walking until the cold stops being uncomfortable and starts being the only thing i feel clearly.. journaling, though "journal" is generous, closer to collobert's fragments, sentences that refuse to cohere into a self..
fav books/genres: the pessimists, obviously.. leopardi's zibaldone, michelstaedter's persuasion and rhetoric, zapffe's the last messiah, maybe caraco's breviary of chaos.. collobert's murder for the way language just gives up trying to hold a person together.. plath's journals more than the poems, honestly, the interior weather of them.. antonia pozzi sits closest to the chest, that ache of being too perceptive for the life you were given.. woolf on the margins, for the drowning imagery she made almost beautiful.. no longer human by dazai.. the beast in the jungle by henry james..
favorite artists: chopin, (always) the nocturnes especially, grief that learned to be polite.. gwen john, those grey interiors, the same quiet room painted over and over like repetition might mean something if you did it long enough..
fav shows?: nothing that resolves.. i prefer things that just continue, the way life does, without the mercy of a conclusion..
interesting fact: i've read more books about the meaninglessness of ambition than i've had ambitions..
