To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc.How are these books connected?

The author and Amazon both list these books as part of the same series in a specific reading order. I haven’t personally read them, so I can’t confirm the exact continuity elements, but they are officially presented as a series by the author.
