I'm 72 and having memory problems, so I write everything down - lists on top of lists - and then I lose the lists :-) I was talking to my mom on the phone the other day (she's 95) and she put the phone down to look for something. When she came back, I could hardly hear her, and then she started laughing. She had picked up the TV remote and was talking into it :-)

It happens. Talk to your doctor. Plus, not to be nosy, do you do cross word puzzles or just puzzles? Anything to exorcise your mind. I have tried to talk to my dad about that, all he does is sleep. I keep telling him, he needs to get a hobby, anything that helps him think. He just ignors it or gets mad.
Amanda I do crossword puzzles and it really does help keeping my memory sharp. If nothing else it gives you a warning sign that your memory is getting worse.
My grandson laughs (lovingly) at me because I have as many games on my phone as he does. I play a lot of Yahtzee and words with friends and puzzles and all kinds of things on my phone. It helps my memory and my eye hand coordination too.
