Hi, I have just finished reading A Brief History of Intelligence: Evolution, AI, and the Five Breakthroughs That Made Our Brains by Max Bennet. Has anyone else read it?

I found the focus on the evolutionary history of intelligence very interesting. Max Bennett makes a serious attempt to break out of the Silicon Valley hype about AI and place an understanding of intelligence in the context of biological evolution. All the more impressive that the author himself is an executive in an AI company.

I'd be interested if anyone is aware of books that develop this theme, ie the evolution of intelligence and the human mind.
