I'm equally curious about this, Taylor.
My feeling is AI is an extension of the old Google Search we writers, researchers, students etc. frequently use/d in cyclopedic fashion to answer queries and expand our understanding of a topic...except AI is a far more effective research tool in that it scans and summarizes all the info on a topic usually in one succinct paragraph. Plus it can literally be questioned if further clarification is required and I can only see benefits if it's used for marketing, advertising and promo purposes.
However, it would detract from creativity if authors were tempted to plagiarize AI content for books, screenplays or other artistic endeavors. Plus I believe AI content can easily be detected by some computer programs and by those in the know.

I’m curious how writers are balancing productivity with originality today.
