Philip Fracassi is an author who is absolutely killing over the last 5-7 years and really needs to be on everyone’s radar. Just when I think he can’t get any better, his next release comes out and proves me wrong. I just finished Sarafina and I can’t stop thinking about it. Add his Boys in the Valley and The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre to the mix and you’ve got an unholy trifecta I’d put up with any other writer out there.

I discovered him with Gothic and felt it was like an old school 70s horror novel, a bit on the pulpy side, but enjoyable. Then I met him at AuthorCon and got Behold the Void which is some of his early short fiction, and after reading it thought, man, this guy can write. So I bought The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre and was just blown away at what a fantastic piece of fiction it was. I also enjoyed D7. Looking forward to reading more, and debating on buying Sarafina now or wait til it's out in paperback cause I just don't have the space for more hardcover books.

Bill (shiftyj1) | 4896 comments My first Fracassi read was Altar about 10 years ago and I have been following him and reading everything he puts out ever since. Dude has some serious skills. One of the best in the business and a must read author for sure. A24 is releasing the Altar movie hopefully this year.
