Sydney Skeie | 38 comments Hello!

Looking through your TBR, I picked a few we could do this month:
-Then She Was Gone: Lisa Jewell
-The Testaments: Margaret Atwood
-Anatomy of an Alibi: Ashley Elston
-The Midnight Train: Matt Haig
-Don’t Let Him In: Lisa Jewell

The Midnight Library is my all time favorite, so my choice would be the Midnight Train. But feel free to suggest more if you don’t like these!!

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments Hi Sydney

That sounds great to me. I Just need to pick up a copy as it has only just come out here in Australia and I haven't had time to get to the book shop to get it yet.

I loved the Midnight Library so I am guessing I will love The Midnight Train.

It is currently 3am Tuesday here, my somewhat adorable cat decided that it was time to play zoomies and wake me up with the parkour moves around the house.

I absolutely The' Midnight Library and I can't wait to start reading this book as well.

It is currently 3am here in Australia on the East Coast and I am awake thanks to my part Maine Coon cat who decided that it was time to get the zoomies and have a game of parkour over me and the entire house.

Sydney Skeie | 38 comments No worries at all! I have 2 cats as well, I completely get it. Sounds good though, I plan to start it on 5/10 😊 I’m going to Chicago for the author’s conference and I’ll be getting a copy there, so you have time to pick yours up before we both start ♥️

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments Awesome, I read pretty fast, I am up to 109 books read so far this year. Mainly because I have been stuck at home and not allowed to do anything but rest after having 2 surgeries for cancer and needing to let skin grafts heal and then a third anaesthetic for a planned procedure. All three done between the 13 February and 14 April so I had nothing to do but read books.

Sydney Skeie | 38 comments I hope your recovery has gone well! I would do the same if I was stuck at home for sure. Since you have read so many already this year, what is your favorite?

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments Hi Sydney, I have my copy and am ready to go. Hope you have an awesome weekend. It is a long weekend her, Monday is a public holiday.

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments I thing my favourite book so far this year so far has been Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth. It had me running through the entire gamut of feelings, it was a fun read.

Sydney Skeie | 38 comments One of my book clubs is actually reading that book on the app “Fable”. If you don’t have it, I highly recommend checking it out. I don’t have a copy of that book and I was on the fence about buying it. Upon your recommendation, I think I will fit it in this month and buy a copy when I am in Chicago. Thank you!

Sydney Skeie | 38 comments Aside from Mad Mabel, what is a book you would recommend to me? I am doing a summer reading challenge for the bookshop that my book club is run out of, they are asking me to have someone recommend a read for me this summer.

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments ok, The Dictionary of Lost Words, The Rebel Witch, Butter, Project Hail Mary, Katabasis, Atmosphere, James, Circe, What you are looking for is in the Library. This is just some of the books I have read this year that were fantastic.

Carolyn Saunders (carolynsaunders) | 506 comments Now we have our books, how does this work? Do we set a chapter or page number limit then come back and discus what we have read? This is my first time doing a TBR Twins.

message 16: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Skeie | 38 comments We can do it however you want! I usually do halfway and just alert the other person if you make it there first so they don’t read spoilers. Something like *contains spoilers*. But if you want to do something different I’m open!

I decided that since I’m getting a copy at the festival signed, it will be put straight into some type of protective container. I’m going to snatch my own copy today at B&N. But I am planning on re-reading the Midnight Library before starting this one for TBR. I need to finish the book I’m reading too, so I’ll probably be starting our book on Monday :)
