Hi everyone- Saad, I read this book awhile ago and Like Sarah, would love to join in with you once you finish it. I may also recommend watching the movie when done with the book.

Great, Saad. I'll look forward to discussing both with you and others!
Sounds great. I'll be on vacation that first week, but I'll read ahead, and catch up after if I need to.
I'm definitely in! :) Can't wait to get started...can't pick up the book until this weekend though...ooer
I'm still so shocked how we went from talking about The lovely Bones to reading Attonement so quickly....lol...Not!!
I've read the book and watched the movie so I'll be popping in to chat along with everyone on both topics.I hope you all enjoy the book!
I read the book awhile back and watched the movie when it first came out. I'll just pop in and add in to the discussion. Enjoy the book everyone!!!
Has anyone gotten any farther in this book? I'm trudging through it. I was hoping someone could tell me it gets better. From the reviews I've read, it sounds like it must. But I'm having the same questions as you Saad..
I have read a little further but other books are looking to be more interesting for me at the moment as well. I just can't seem to really love the characters yet. Briony seems to be the most self centered, every thing revolves around her child. Where as Cecilia seems more down to earth but stuck upidy in her own ways. The discriptive writting is eloquent and has a beauty all its own but I have to have a story that pulls me in more right now, I guess. I will finish this but it well be slowly I'm guessing. It is on my 2010 reading goals list so I will have to push on.
Okay, if you're keepin on, I'll keep on too Karla. To be finished in 2010! But I will be picking up other books in between too. I agree that the writing is beautiful and I do want to finish .. here's to hoping the story gets more interesting.
Cheers to that! I'm feeling like a snail running with this one. But I have read several great books inbetween if I'd pick a book that wasn't pulling me in so much I could focus on this one more. I also have a buddy read I have to start on the first that well slow me down also hmmmm....
Hi I'm waiting to read it toward the end as (and please take no offense Saad)but I cannot read to this schedule as it reeks of being back at school and would spoil my enjoyment and make me resent reading the book at all.So I'll see everybody at the end...
Happy Reading to all.
lol! that's funny DJ ~ the schedule was actually comforting to me because it IS like being back in school altho, just like back in school, I haven't been following the schedule ... (sigh)
Ah,you see I had terrible teachers who kept interrupting my reading and giving me books to read that I had read in Primary School...So no good memories of comfort for me.I'm glad that you are finding the opposite to be true!Guess the thing about me is that I am having a delayed adolescence and don't appreciate having to do things to order in my spare time...
So can't say anything about the book as haven't started yet....Its gonna be fun trying to get it finished at the moment...So is it the very final discussion that starts on 7th February? If you know could you let me know.....
Take Care. :-)
