Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Hi, I recently was made aware that I should be purchasing my own ISBNs and not using the ones provided for free from Amazon or Ingram, which I currently use. If I move forward with this change for my two books, would you be able to edit the ISBN on Goodreads? Would any data be lost?

No we won't - librarians cannot change already assigned ISBN/ASIN numbers.

Only staff can make that change so it is better to direct your question towards them - Support

Also, please make sure to post this kind of request in the correct folder next time Questions (not edit requests). This one is for adding NEW books/editions, not for fixing/updating already existing records. Thank you for understanding.

thanks! sorry about that!
