Today I started reading Circe by Madeline Miller, whose work I’ve not read before. I am only a few pages in but so far her writing style is fluid, interesting, enjoyable and easy to read.
I just finished reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach and really enjoyed it! I would describe it as humorous and full of relatable wisdom. This was the first time I have read a book by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books.
I am reading Clay's Ark by Octavia E. Butler. Her style has been defined by its “accessible, spare prose and unapologetic exploration of systemic power, race, and survival, often from the perspective of marginalized protagonists.” I have read several of her books & agree with this description of her writing style.
I'm reading 'My Cousin Rachel' by Daphne du Maurier. Slow but intense start like a 1940s movie. First book by this author. Page 150 and the suspense is picking up.
I've kind of gone of track - I've just read Killing Floor
and Next I'm going to read
It Ends with Us They are both audio books from the library.
I just finished "Daisy Jones & The Six " by Taylor Jenkins Reid ! WOW..can't believe it took me so long to listen to this book . AWESOME. Now I'm in the middle of ' Malibu Rising " . I found a new author, who I really like, now I need to get her other books.
I am participating in Stephen King Summer. We are reading Holly now. I really like the writing. Very easy to follow and lots of opportunities for some chuckles mixed in.
