I am just about to finish it and I need to know whether people feel the same as me. I feel like I’m the only person who didn’t like it…

Sadly, I havent read it so I cant give you a firsthand point of view but one of my good friends has and she explained it to be too dry for her taste and missing a good storyline. Hope this helps!

I agree with that 100%. It’s sooo dry, and I’m just bored. But people I follow have rated it 5 stars and I genuinely don’t get how. There’s no personality, no plot until the 60% point and even then it’s just meh.

I read it! Yes, I was so disappointed. I was promised a very exciting, thrilling plot, and frankly after RFK's tpw series I expected a much faster plot pace, which I didn't get. everyone says it's so good, but i found it quite average

I read this book a few years ago. The writing is of a very high standard, which is why I can understand why people are praising it so much. But it's very sad, and the author clearly has a very pessimistic view of the world and humanity, so I can also understand why some people hate it.

I just started it two days ago. Been updating my progress here and there. Reached page 90 and....well, it's goofy, a bit dry, but I'm kinda enjoying it. May be bcz I'm happy to recognise the locations they pass through and the random passages in Latin and French though, but so far it hasn't bored me.
