Does hearing an unabridged Poirot count the same as reaing the book? James

i think its totaly diferent.. its easier to check some fact and understand it if u read it..
beside, i love reading :-)

I find that the slower pace of listening to an audiobook allows me to catch a lot of clues that, in reading, I tend to elide. Besides, so many of the Poirot books are narrated by either David Suchet or Hugh Fraser. How could you go wrong?

I have never tried audio books. I too prefer the actual book - they slip so easily into your handbag and are so "portable". I have to have a book in my bag at all times - i feel so naked without one.

Several of the Poirot stories are narrated by Hugh Fraser (Captain Hastings in the British TV series) on audio books. I found them very enjoyable.

I am currently reading all the Poirot books via audio format now. I needed something to listen to while commuting to and from work. I am enjoying them a lot, so far.
