Krishna Pandit (krishna_pandit) | 24 comments Hey there!

I am Krishna Pandit, an English postgraduate who is looking for books to read in my free time.

Here is what I could help authors with —

📖 Plot & Pacing
1. Hook: Did the opening chapter grab my attention immediately?
2. Pacing: Where does the story drag, and where does it move too fast?
3. Plotholes: Are there gaps in logic, or things left unexplained?
4. Climax: Is the ending satisfying, or does it feel rushed?

👥 Characters & Dialogue
1. Relatability: Do I care about the main character and their goals?
2. Consistency: Do characters act or speak out of character without reason?
3. Voice: Does the dialogue sound natural, or is it stiff and forced?
4. Growth: Does the protagonist change or learn anything by the end?

🌍 World-Building & Tone
1. Immerse: Can I clearly picture the settings and environments?
2. Info-dumps: Are there long, boring paragraphs explaining history or rules?
3. Consistency: Do the rules of the world (like magic or technology) stay the same
4. Confusion: Were there any scenes where I felt lost or confused?

✍️ General Reader Reaction
1. Emotion: Did the funny parts make me laugh? Did the sad parts land?
2. Investment: At what point (if any) did I want to stop reading?
3. Favorite Parts: What character or scene did I love the most?

Mehdi Botteman | 2 comments Hello Krishna,

I'm looking for beta readers for my completed manuscript, The Brewery of Lost Artists. How would you like to proceed?

Thanks,
Mehdi

Isabella (bellavinter) | 7 comments Hi Krishna!

I am looking for beta readers for my completed fantasy novel, The Assassin's Apprentice (Working title, since it's the title of Robin Hobb's genre-defining classic.)
A unique blend of fantasy and psychological thriller, the book is, at the heart of it, about the way some people can twist your worldview in their own favor, and the struggle of finding yourself once you realize whoever you have become isn’t someone you recognize. Without intending it to, The Assassin's Apprentice has become an OwnVoices examination of abuse and trauma, the psychological mechanisms allowing it to continue in relationships, and the final realization that it needs to end.

I would absolutely love to hear how to connect with you.

Hello Krishna,
I'm an indie author looking for a few readers interested in reading my debut fantasy novel, Sins of the Fathers, the first book in my Fragments of Regret series.

It's a character-driven fantasy/drama involving family trauma, class divisions, an elite royal academy, hidden identities, and complicated relationships.

I'm particularly interested in readers who enjoy stories that focus heavily on characters and their emotional lives.

I'm looking for honest reviews, not necessarily positive ones. What matters most to me is having readers experience the book for themselves and tell me what worked—and what didn't.

If you're interested in receiving an ARC, you can apply here:

https://forms.gle/AXxgWeAzJRGukQLXA

Thank you for giving an indie author a chance. ❤️

Shirin Shahrokhi-Moghaddam | 1 comments Hi Krishna,

I would love to chat more about your offer. My debut Romantasy Part One is pretty much ready to go, but having it reviewed before I send to my arc volunteers would be lovely.

message 8: by Nimpha (new)

Nimpha Jeffrey | 4 comments Hi, I wondered if you're currently accepting beta reads. I have a completed short humorous workplace mystery, The Case of the Disappearing Treasury Assistant, approximately 11,000 words.

It's the first in my Detective Nimpha series and follows a Treasury Assistant who starts investigating changes happening around her at work — only to discover that the position disappearing might be her own.

No Finance or Treasury knowledge is needed. I'm looking for genuine reader feedback on the mystery, humour, pacing, clarity and whether Detective Nimpha is someone you'd want to follow into another case. I also have a short feedback questionnaire.

If it sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd love to hear from you. 😊

N. Jeffrey
