Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

There are stories that refuse to live as light on a screen. They breathe differently; slow, deliberate, like something ancient turning a page in the dark. My work belongs to that realm. Ink, paper, weight, silence… the small rituals that make a story real. A book should be something you enter, not something you scroll. Something that leaves a shadow on your shelf long after the last line has settled.

While I understand the need for instant gratification in this digital age, the need to read from a screen, well...that will never be my stories. They will remain where they were born—bound, printed, and meant to be held. I will die a happy author to walk into some random used book store one day and whilst rummaging through the historical fiction section I come across my book; well worn and faded from use. That is the type of smile that never goes away.

It is my belief that some stories simply lose their magic when flattened into pixels.
