These books are merged together. They are part of the same series https://www.goodreads.com/series/4449... -- but the first book is unnumbered (Howards' Way) and the second is numbered 2 (Howards' Way 2):

They will not separate. I have tried separating them to no avail.

Can someone fix this please?

Were you trying to separate Howards' Way 2 FROM Howards' Way?
If so, that was the issue. Howards' Way 2 was the default. So everything else needed to be removed from it.

When it is just a few books, it's easily handled. But there are some books where hundreds need to be removed. The way the system works isn't the most logical.

No, I was trying to separate out the ones without the 2. It said wait 15 minutes, but a day later,...

Anyway, it seems to be fixed now.

The combine and separate functions frequently have issues. If it hasn't gone through after a few minutes, I try it once again. But if that again doesn't work I wait a least an hour or so before I try again, especially if it is also not working for other works.

Yeah, that "update" in April 2025 was so helpful /s.

The fact that they did it so soon after the yearly one was a harbinger of doom.

The first two years I was here for a few weeks in January after combining got turned back on, there was a few days when the system kicked us out after only ten combining/separating edits. I am wondering if this isn't something like that, just without the screen saying we are basically in a time-out.

I really hoped the update last December would "fix" April's mess. But, I have read enough of the old threads that I should have known it was wishful thinking...
