I am looking for a book about sharks. the cover was bluish, with a photo of either a blue or mako shark swimming at an angle to the camera. the book itself is about trade paperback size, about 2+inches thick so the page count was probably 300+. it was published in the late 60's or early 70's. about the first 1/4 of the book was about historical shark attacks. the next half was a more scientific explanation of sharks, skates and rays and their relatives, including a mix of pictures an drawings--the pictures of the dermal denticles were drawing for example. Dr Eugeni Clark had a chapter devoted to her study of tiger sharks. the last part of the book spoke about commercial use of sharks, including recipies for cooking various sharks, skates and rays, which sharks were not good to eat. i last read the book in highschool in the 1980's, which is how i can estimate the publishing date. I honestly do not remember when I lost the book but I would love to find it again. if anyone can help with this, it would be great! Idid find a book with a similar cover on amazon, but its significantly smaller with no recipies in the back or shark attacks in the front.

If you add “including recipes for cooking sharks and rays” to the thread title it is more likely to jog someone’s memory. There can’t be many shark books that include recipes!
Jamie, you started a thread for this book on October 11, 2024, so I'm closing this duplicate thread. Please continue here - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
