On the Southern Literary Trail discussion

Just finished American Moon by David W. Berner and wanted to share it here. It's a slim, quiet novella a man heading west with nothing, a young mother fighting to keep things together, the two of them crossing paths on the road. Set from Missouri out to Joshua Tree. The writing is tight and honest, reminds me of Denis Johnson at his best. Publishing September 15 from Regal House. Happy to share the digital ARC with anyone who wants to read it early.
