RRRC’s Cornhole Team ChallengeRound 2 - Don't Spill the Beans!

Welcome to RRRC’s version of Cornhole! This is the reading version of the classic lawn game where instead of tossing beanbags, you will be attempting to get your book in the hole.
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Teams Allocated July 2nd after signups close, please allow several hours.
First Inning Begins on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Last Inning Ends on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 6 PM US ET, completions will not be accepted after this time.
RRRC’s Cornhole Team Challenge is a 9 week team challenge. Each week you and your team will be playing an inning of Cornhole. Innings will run from Saturday to Saturday at 6 PM US ET. Each player will need to read one book per week. Each inning 3 prompts will be given. Prompts will build in detail. Prompts must be compiled in order - the book has to fit the first prompt before you can add the second and must fit the first and second before adding the third. Second and third prompts can’t be done separately. Books must be completed within each inning, there is no carryover. Points will be tallied at the end of each inning. The teams with the most points at the end of the 9 innings wins.
Scoring for each inning:
On the Ground: Your selected book meets the first prompt - 1 Point.
On the Board: Your selected book meets the first and second prompts - 3 Points.
In the Hole: Your selected book meets the first, second and third prompts - 5 Points.

🌽 Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**
🌽 Selection Posts are required. And should be posted prior to your completions. Both Selection and Completion Posts must be made before the inning ends.
🌽 There is a 100 page minimum for books (first edition Kindle), rereads and audios allowed. There must be an English language edition for a book to qualify for this challenge. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same or different books than your teammates for each inning. Books cannot be started before the inning begins. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.
🌽 If corrections are requested, reposts are required.
🌽 I need to know where to look for you qualifications. If it is in the precis, let me know. If it is in the book details, say so. If it is in the title, point that out. And so on… If you are using anything not included on the main book page as a qualification, a link needs to be included even if that request is not included in the prompt details.
🌽 Please do not delete messages for any reason. You may strike through a comment using <*s> and <*/s> without the asterisks if desired. Once I start checking posts, I keep track of the last message I've checked. If you delete messages, I may miss something and I would hate that!

Hello everyone. I’m Kat. I’m from Glasgow in Scotland. I live with my fiancé and our two cats Bonnie & Clyde. My favourite genres are contemporary romance and new adult or ya. Hello Team!My name is Stasi. I'm in Colorado USA (so mountain time zone)!
I mostly read romance, but read pretty broadly within the subgenres. My go-to's lately have been Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I'm a single pringle so have a lot of time to read outside of board game nights with my sister (we mainly play coop, legacy or campaign games). Otherwise I like to craft, mostly cross stitch, crochet and diamond painting! Now that it's summer and Hockey is done for the season I mostly audio and craft or video game (usually of the cozy variety).
Also, I sent out friend requests to everyone as well!
Hi y’all I’m in North Central Texas and I am a mom of 7 but all grown except my youngest who is a Senior this year and has allot on her plate this year. I work full time in the Healthcare field. I read and do audiobooks as often as I can. I read almost anything in romance in some form, I really enjoy dark romance and paranormal more than anything depending on my mood I guess. Name ideas: Peaches, Hole~n~One, Juicy Peaches, Board Holes, Beany Cheezey Holy Rollers

Hi everyone! sorry for the delay. I’m from Brasil (GMT-3). I’m 33 years and married. I only got back into reading a year ago. I read mostly fantasy and PRN romance, sometimes dark romance and contemporary too.
As for the name I prefer Dishing Out the Books
I’m game for either one and I like both but I’m leaning more towards Booked Beans 😂 so funny
I’m good with that too if you two prefer it.

Yes tomorrow. Each week will drop the next set of prompts at the same time. Kat will post it in the announcement thread, but I’ll also share here and update above in the tracking.Once we get the full set of prompts I’ll try to share some options or lists that’ll help us maximize points! Last game the teams were pretty on par until the final week and the bonus points.
Here is our first set of prompts!First Prompt - Read a book that is MPG Contemporary Romance.
Books selected for this task need to have 'Contemporary Romance' as a Main Page Genre. Contemporary and Romance can be alone or combined, but both must be Main Page Genre.
Second Prompt - Read a book that has a couple embracing on the cover.
Books selected for this prompt need to meet the qualifications for the first prompt and be show a couple embracing on the cover. I do not need to see full bodies, but the cover must show enough to see that there are at least two people hugging on the cover. You can use any edition's cover to qualify. Please include the qualifying cover in your selection and completion posts.
Third Prompt - Read a book that was published in the last year.
Books selected for this prompt need to meet the qualifications for the first and second prompts and also be published on or after July 11, 2025. If there is a date at the top of the editions page use it. Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the initial publication date in your qualification.

Just a couple reminders~Remember that prompts are compounding, so to qualify for the 2nd prompt it must also fit the 1st and to qualify for the 3rd prompt, it must qualify for the 1st and 2nd as well.
Selection and Completion posts must be made before the deadline, next Saturday at 6pm US ET.
I have posted an example for both posts above that you can copy and edit.
Also remember to list the page count as the first kindle edition. A quick and easy way to figure it out is to look at the editions page for the book and filter by kindle edtions, then look at release date. You could also filter for English in case it has been translated a lot to narrow it down.
If you haven't already, please check the little box below to be updated when someone posts in this thread and the announcement thread.
Also, if you could please post broken link to your book that would make things a little easier on my end! :)

Review: I read the first book back in 2022 so it did take a bit to get back into the story and remember what had happened already but once I did I was caught up in the emotions once again. This is a trope not a lot of people like which is a love triangle and I did feel conflicted by the act of cheating but the love story just had me gripped and I kept changing my mind who I wanted
her to be with. Did the best man win? I’d recommend reading book 1
and 2 to find out.

This was cute. It felt a little long. I also liked how even though Tally did a little too much, Walker and her mother both admitted that they could've been more open about the changes. While it's been a while since Tally has been home, she did help her father growing up until she left so it's not like she's some bumbling city girl that had no idea what she was doing. I also didn't like that we kept the big secret from not only Tally but her sister for so long. I get that Walker signed the NDA, but I didn't like that even though Walker pushed her to tell her kids since like the 30% mark, she still didn't pretty much until the end. It just felt like things dragged out too long. Also when they finally got together boy did Tally and Walker go from 0 to like 4-million. It felt a little much and had some of the things that get thrown in to a lot of contemporary steamy scenes for the bit that just make me roll my eyes and think "really?". I could go without reading another random "good girl" thrown in for the rest of my life and happy. Intrigued by the rest of the series. Will continue on for now and see how the next one goes.

This was book 2 in this series and I think this was my favorite of the 2 books- different couples in each book but they do tie together, this book MMC was Secret Service then had to retire back in book one cause he was shot on duty that caused a permanent injury just after his dad died, then after 5 years he gets a call and asked to help protect the president’s daughter again after someone tried to kidnap her again~ inside job! Then they both realize they have feelings one another and finally are free to act on those feelings. Really good story!

I normally would eat up any cowboy romance but I have been in a contemporary romance reading slump lately so I couldn't really connect with the characters. It was hot but the romance itself was lacking for me.
