Ma | 1703 comments Wondering if textbooks with supplemental material such as CD-ROMs, web access codes, cards, etc. should be combined with the same textbook without those extras? How about custom editions? And what do we do when the primary author changes in the new edition? Should we bump a secondary author to primary so we can combine them?

Scott | 1568 comments I would combine all the variations.

If the old primary author is still on the new edition I would bump it up, yes. Just like we have the rule about retaining primary author on other works.
