Same! I really enjoyed the relationships and the humor amidst the heavy moments.

Monstrous Women was great, but lots of horror.

The Women of Wild Hill was one of the my absolute favorites from last year! It's like Practical Magic but darker.

Raising Hare was so beautiful and made me feel like I was transported to a little cottage in the English Countryside.

If It Makes You Happy is like Gilmore Girls in book form. I adored it!

I've read four nominees, and three of them are about a group of people on an isolated island with a storm.

Automatic Noodle was not great. Whoever has been picking the sci fi books lately does not share my tastes at all.

There used to be a movie critic that I would follow, because their opinion was like the exact opposite of mine. lol. Made it easy to know what to see, and what to skip - I just did the opposite of what they recommended! lol

What sci fi books do you enjoy?

John Scalzi, Andy Weir, most of Blake Crouch, Orson Scott Card, Mark Lawrence's Impossible Times; time travel often is appealing

I really liked MILA 2.0, Terminal Alliance, Mickey7, and Six Wakes, which I think were all Reader's Choice. And I did like Dissolution from this time.

When books get preachy, it's a turn-off.
