A Friendly reminder from your Readerboard Mod:

The readerboard is quite an undertaking. It's very time consuming and i's a lot of information to keep track of. Please be kind to the mods.

The format for claiming posts is imperative to follow to help reduce the time, stress, errors, and problem posts.

Every task claim post needs to follow format given HERE this includes reposts.
When reposting please include the current total as if that is the first time you are claiming this reposted task.

We do not have the time to go back and look through old posts, search for information, or try and do the math for every post.

This may feel trivial and it takes more time for you to post, but please keep in mind the time it takes for you to post is multiplied per person for us.

We don’t like to kick back claimed tasks, its more work on us and on you. Please follow the format and information required so we can keep the problem post at minimum.


Some other things that help us out.

• We encourage you to have fun with the challenge and track the stats make it fun for you. If you do like to add extra to your claim task post, please end the post with the current total of points and BB/GO/IAF ticket information. It makes it so much easier to find.
• Using the words “read a book” before the task description is very helpful. The task description is required. How the book fits are only required if the books main page doesn’t make it obvious. “406 pages” is not a task description and is not sufficient.
• Bolding or capitalizing the BB/GO/IAF ticket claims is very helpful.
• Posting Tineyes information for cover color tasks. Sometimes the numbers are different and its helpful to see what Tineye told you.

We will be kicking back any task claim post that doesn't follow the required information needed

for this particular task, there is a requirement to state the holiday so in this case it was needed.

If the task has no added requirements to post and its obvious from the Goodreads book page how the book fits, nothing more is needed.

Susan, I realized after the fact that the post in question is for a task with the requirement to state the holiday.

All requirements always need to be met. sorry for the confusion, I have edited my response. :)

Ack...I picked a bad example, but I think I get it. Thanks so much for your quick response, and all of the other work you're doing.

What constitutes as a task description:
Please include more than 2 or 3 words.

Example for needing authors initials.
Good description- Task: Authors initials in WORD
or
read a book with authors initials found in WORD
Not a description: OR in WORD - this may be how it fits, but I still am not sure what that task is asking for.

example for publication date
Good description: Task: Book publication date with a 6 and 2
or
read a book with a publication date with the numbers of 6 and 2
Not a description - publication date July 6, 2020.

If the task description is what the task wants not how the book fits.

I really hope this is helpful. We really just want to make the process for updates smoother and faster.
