Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon discussion

Which reading crime have you committed: dog-earing (fold down the corner of a book page), spine-cracking (bend the spine to make the book lay flat), or spoiler-seeking (search in advance for plot twists or the ending of a book)?

I used to fold the corners of books when I was a teenager but, I don’t do that anymore since I buy my own books. ;)

Now spoilers are something I do seek from time to time. For example, when I read a book with a love triangle, I need to make sure that the couple I like will stay together, otherwise I skip it. On the other hand, when I read a murder mystery, then I don’t want any spoilers. I want to try and identify who’d done it on my own.

I used to dog-ear the corners of my paperbacks when I was a teenager. Now my reading crime is to use things that were never meant to be bookmarks in place of bookmarks...like when I used my Kindle to hold my place in the physical book I was reading.

All of those at some stage - the spine-cracking is always accidental, the dog-earing is rare, but I'm an inveterate spoiler-seeker, especially if things are moving too slowly.
