DivaDiane SM | 32 comments Hello! I love the idea of reading for 24 hours, but I have never been able to do more than read for a few random hours. I am on vacation in Italy and a the seaside, where I am cowering away from the sun, the heat and the sand, and so a readathon seems doable. At least more than just a few hours. I can't read all night and I have to be sociable at mealtimes, so there will be quite a few hours during which I can't read, but it might be better than previous attempts. At any rate, I can try to participate in some of the non-reading activities and hope I manage to read more than just a few hours. I am starting now - 21h (or 9pm) on Friday night and will keep it up until 9 pm tomorrow night.

So here's the Opening Survey

1. What part of the world are you reading from today? As said, I'm in Italy. I live in the UK, though. We are visiting family.

2. What hour does/did the official Reverse Readathon start for you? Will you be sticking to the official times or adjusting to your preferences? It would start at 2am, so no, I'm not sticking to the official times. I'm starting and ending early.

3. What are you most looking forward to this Readathon? Reading lots and lots.

4. Are you reading alone or with a reading buddy? Alone

5. What challenges, if any, are you expecting to face during this Readathon? Not being able to read ALL THE TIME.

DivaDiane SM | 32 comments I am already failing with the readathon. Slept longer than I intended and haven’t had any time to read since getting up! It’s our last day at the seaside, so the rest of the family feels the need to cram in a bunch of activities!

Oh that’s too bad though understandable. Really we can’t fail at the Readathon if we have read some, and have joined in som fun activities or talks…
