I am not sure whether I personally fit the purpose of this group, and I respect whatever boundaries you have in place. My own writing comes from lived experience. My abuse began before the age of four, and its effects followed me through my choice of friendships, jobs, relationships, and marriages. My books also deal with surviving and finally breaking free from a long-term, long-distance romance scam.
I am especially interested in advocacy because romance scams and emotional manipulation are still not well understood by many people. I am currently preparing more work about the larger system behind these scams and how victims are targeted, conditioned, and controlled.
For now, my main reason for writing is simple: I would like to know whether this group offers support, resources, or direction for teens and parents dealing with abuse. If this is not the right place, I would be grateful for any suggestions about where I might send them.
