Constant Reader discussion

Next Sunday we will start discussing the last story on our current schedule, "Wickedness" by Ron Hansen. Because of other commitments, I need to start putting the next schedule together this week. We will still be alternating stories in our anthology, The Scribner Anthology of Contemporary Short Fiction with ones available online. If you have suggestions for online stories, please get them to me this week so they can be included. They need to be ones that will be accessible online for, at least, the next six months. I really appreciate your help with this.

Barb, I already sent you one Hemingway story, and one by Thomas McGuane. Let me know if you need more online stories.

I like this Chekhov story, too.

Thank you, Dinesh! At first, I thought that we had already read it but I think it is just similar to another story we read which I think was by a contemporary author. I need to go back and find it when we discuss this one.

And, I'm really glad to see you here again.

The Chekhov story also reminds me of James Joyce's famous story "Araby."
