It's one of those pretty broad ones that is really fun finding the connection.
Plus, I love shoes. I miss mu stiletto wearing youth (which could also be murders cause a stiletto is a kind of knife)
First impressions: 1. A book set in an Airbnb, hotel, motel, or inn. - Love this! No idea what I would read, but for some reason it immediately appealed to me
2. A book about someone who has an uncommon or unusual job. - Maybe, but I'm not totally sold on it either
3. A book related to something old and something new. - I feel like this would function better as a multiweek, and even then, I've done it before so I probably wouldn't vote for it
4. A book about food - I have way too many food-related prompts on my current challenge lists so I'm a little burnt out on it
5. A book related to or suggested by a song on the album Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. - The "suggested by" wording confuses me a little, but I still like this. I'm not a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and I don't know many of their songs, but most of the ones I do know are from this album, so maybe.
6. A book with any connection to the number 27. - Probably a downvote. It's too vague for me, and I can't really think of what would jump out as a connection to 27 to me. I know there are some ideas suggested, but I don't think I'd be able to look at a book on my TBR and automatically connect it to the number
7. A fiction book by a celebrity who isn’t primarily known as a writer. - Most likely a downvote, but I could be persuaded if there are enough options
8. A book connected in some way to a style of shoe - I'll probably leave this neutral. I have no interest or knowledge of shoes, but it seems there are enough different ways to go with this that I could make it work
9. A book where things get "heated" - Love this! Definite upvote
10. A book with a character who shares a hobby or passion with you - Probably leaving this neutral. I'm boring and don't have a lot of hobbies outside of reading, so it would end up being "a book about books." Nothing wrong with that, but it's a prompt I've had many times before so I might prefer something more unique
11. A book that is at least 27 years old - Probably not. I don't have a ton of books published before 2000 on my list that I'm actively interested in reading
12. A book that fills the 27th prompt from a previous ATY52 list - I'd probably just leave this neutral
13. A book by an author whose name is in a song title - I somehow missed this when I first looked at the list. It's an interesting idea, but I'd need to see options
14. A book with a 3-D shape on the cover - I like the creativity, but again would need to see how many options are available. I can't think of many off the top of my head
15. A book involving the environment or climate change - This is always an automatic downvote for me. It's an important topic, but not something that I tend to like reading about

The standout upvotes for me here are A book where things get heated, A book that fills the 27th prompt from a previous ATY52 list, and environment/climate change, though I will amazed if that gets in. The shoe prompt has grown on me and that will probably be an upvote too. I like the creativity of that one and there are plenty of fun options.
I LOVE the Fleetwood Mac prompt. I'm a fan, but my dad is a bigger fan. Does anyone have any good biographies of the group? I've been looking for one for a while. For those who aren't familiar, there's 2 male and 2 female members of the group, and they were couples, but I think in the time that they were making this album, didn't they all cheat on each other and swap partners?? There's definitely room for a book about adultery in this prompt! My knee-jerk reaction to the shoe prompt was a no, but the more I think about it, the more I'm really starting to like it. I was just thinking that I might read a book about Egypt, for Crocs! lol

No, I vote against prompts that specify fiction (or nonfiction) because I always read both fiction and nonfiction choices for every prompt. I don't mind stretching a little, but I hate that no nonfiction choices will be in the listopias and if I add one, someone will complain.

No interest, probably won't vote against, but really don't understand the popularity of these interesting prompts. The mere fact that there are so many choices just makes it seem like a bunch of random words to choose from.

We don't use the notes feature on listopias enough. Anytime you put anything that isn't evident, use the notes! So if you add a NF book, just put a note that you know it's NF and that is why you added it. It drives me nuts when there's a book in the list and it's like "how??" and people don't make a note of why they added it.
There aren't many of these I'm neutral on, most are either a definite yes or definite no! Will be hard to decide.

No, I vote against prompts that specify fiction (or nonfiction) because I always read both fiction and nonfiction choices for every prompt.
I think a valid way of doing this is a fiction book by the celebrity, and then a biography or other nonfiction book about the celebrity. If this gets voted in, I'll probably read Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's books about Mycroft Holmes. There's probably plenty of nonfiction about him.

I get the goal of the prompt is to go for the surprising-- so if I was doing a non-fiction challenge I would go for a non-memoir by a celeb. No clue what it would be-- I would argue something by David McCullough or Neil deGrasse Tyson don't count because they're famous for what they write about.

She had a pretty prolific writing career, but she's probably primarily known as an actress.

Dr. Martens or Dr. Scholls - any kind of book dealing with medicine (fiction or non-fiction)
Mary Janes - a book involving cannabis
Penny Loafers - a book relating to money (especially for those disappointed that the recent Money prompt didn't make it in)
PF Flyers (my favorite shoes as a kid, and I'm surprised to find out they still exist!) - a book involving airplanes, pilots, flight attendants, or even birds
Saddle Shoes OR Cowboy boots - both can be used for horse books or westerns
Tap Shoes - a book set in a bar, pub, or brewery

I love Rockin Robin! Also When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin Along. However, I didn't care for Poor Little Robin, Walkin' to Missouri, where the bird is punished for flying too high. (Young people, you can look those up!) When I was a kid in the 1950s and 1960s, my name was never found on stickers, stationery, characters in books, etc. So I liked that it was in some songs.

Lol, I have "Jenny (8675309)" about a woman whose name is on the wall- "for a good time call"! But because of the way they sing the phone number (8675, 309), if you say it the way most people say phone numbers (867, 53, 09), most people won't catch on- I've used it before to get rid of annoying people!

My husband's legal name is Danny, which was partly because his mom liked the song Danny Boy.
Another name song is Abraham, Martin, and John (Lincoln, King & Kennedy).
Charles Aznavour, the Frank Sinatra of France, who also wrote all his own songs, has songs entitled Lucie, Sophie, Sarah, at least one with Marie, Marguerite, probably more. Leonard Cohen has Suzanne.
Then there is Maria from West Side Story.

What I'm getting from this is that this is a "read any book" prompt.
I’d make it harder by picking a book of essays I have with 20ish authors. There at least 4 authors in this one book that have names that are part of song titles, and that’s just off the top of my bead - there might be more.

Actually listing all those made me like the prompt more. I don't remember if I voted for it (I rarely remember what I voted for or against!) but now I wish I had.
I feel neutral on most of these prompts. Likely Upvote:
- A book that fills the 27th prompt from a previous ATY52 list (I really like the past prompt options and the 27 connection)
Likely downvotes:
- A fiction book by a celebrity who isn’t primarily known as a writer (I've never read one I liked and the list of options is very small.)
- The Fleetwood Mac prompt (I don't really know them and don't think they translate across generations as well as our past song/music-related prompts like Queen or The Sound of Music. I think I'd prefer to see something related to ABBA or Elton John if we're talking about 70s icons.)

I find this round really bland. I'll upvote nr 8, the shoe style - the only fun idea!I'll also upvote 14:3D and 15: Environment. Apart from that this round must be one of the most boring rounds I can think of.
I do like nr 10 - hobbies and passions - but I've encountered it earlier in other challenges and have had really hard times finding books for it.
I really don't like the celebrity prompt because I'm not interested one bit in celebrities.
The heating-prompt is so overused. The food-prompt is so common and overused as well and would have been a lot more interesting if it was more defined. Now I'll probably downvote it.
First I was surprised because it's almost never this boring! Then I thought that of course this must happen sometimes, it can't always be exciting or interesting. I hope next round will be funnier. So it's okay, I'll be content with the shoe style by now.
I love Fleetwood Mac but I never seem to get hooked on these album-related prompts.
