We have Happy Hour at home every afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30. I'm mostly a beer drinker, but enjoy a Margarita or White Russian on occasion. My wife drinks Cayman Jacks Coolers or Wine.
What's your go to drink? If your a drinker that is.

I mostly drink beer. My husband and I owned a craft beer store for about 10 years. Funny though because I didn't like beer until I was in my 30's and then we ended up with a beer store that we started from scratch. It was very popular but we saw the writing on the wall and decided we were done about a year and a half ago. I also enjoy vodka & cranberry juice and sometimes wine. Since I work night shift I only drink on my nights off though.

Too bad your Beer Store didn’t work out. Sounds like a fun business, but there are a lot of them closing.

It was fun for a while but my husband and I both have full time jobs and it became impossible to find enough help for what we could afford to pay. Plus all of our expenses just kept going up. And the younger generations are not drinking beer the way the previous generations did. And us older people are finding the need to cut back for one reason or another, so.... it was time to be done. We sure do have a ton of beer signs and other cool stuff tucked away though. Hoping when we finally decide to move and semi-retire that we find a property with a barn that we can turn partly into a cool bar and decorate the heck out of it!
As a side note, we have no regrets. We made something great out of nothing and we were ready to walk away. So all good.

My parents owned a beer bar for 57 years and I grew up there. In the late seventies the business started to drop off and by the late nineties it had gotten a lot worse. Fortunately they were at retirement age so they closed the business and retired.

I love this my brother and his wife do this as well. I'm a wine girl but do love a gin once and while.

Ah Kim a Gin and Tonic is my weakness, but I have to stay away from them. Too strong for this old man.

Robert, what a great memory. And I think it is great for kids to see how much hard work a small business truly takes. Glad the timing was right for them to close up and retire. ❤️

I am quite sure my husband and I will also make a happy hour tradition once we retire. Love the idea! ☺️

My wife and I have a Mexican Cantina in our basement. Full bar, pool table, darts, sound system and lots of neon beer signs. Have some great parties down there.

Robert, love your happy hour time and place! Every so often we go to my sister’s house, order a Waymo and go to Floor 13 of the Psycho Building. It’s a hotel now, and my niece is the bartender. My grandparents would be mortified as they owned restaurants and bars and were so happy their son graduated college so their offspring wouldn’t have to work in restaurants and bars. She sets us up with all kinds of concoctions that are mighty tasty. 😊

We are martini drinkers every Friday!
