Stephen King Fans discussion

I started this journey to reread the Tower series in January. I really took my time and tried to soak it all in. Knowing I’d probably never do it again. I’d forgotten so much. More than I thought. Especially about the last three. Adding Wind in really changed the read. But honestly. What’s changed is me. I noted VII was published in 2006 and u can bet your ass I was in line at Chapters that September morning. Ah the good old days. That means it’s been almost 20 years since I read this book. What? I raised a family. Had a career. Lost people. The story is not different. I am. I read this through a young persons eyes. And she was soooo young. My e book tells me I have 4 hours left to go and then I will be done this journey. Again. It makes me sad. And also makes me wonder what I could possibly read next that would even come close to the journey I e been on since the new year.

Well, there is the soon to be released book 3 in the adventures of Jack Sawyer, which includes trips to Other Worlds Than These. And as Roland and his Ka-Tet were mentioned in Black House, it is very likely that we might get more about what’s happening in the realm of the Dark Tower.

I am super excited for OWTT. I’m going, to do BH as an audio hook before that release. I read it. But. So long ago. And. I didn’t like it. So I don’t remember the ka-tet being in it. Looking forward to that! For now. I decided to read Low Men in Yellow Coats. Once again I read it years ago. But am interested to read it with the breakers and Thunderclap so fresh in my mind.

I just finished rereading Black House. Roland & Company aren’t in it, but they are mentioned.

That is a huge undertaking indeed!
So often I wish I could read the series for the first time not knowing anything about it...
I am sure you'll enjoy it immensely!
