Jacob Adler: A Life on the Stage, A Memoir is misattributed to Jacob Adler, an author by the same name.

The linked author is Rabbi Dr. Jacob Adler, a University of Arkansas professor of philosophy and Jewish Studies. The correct author is Jacob Adler (1855-1926), the legendary Yiddish theatre actor and father of Stella Adler.

Another edition of this book lists the author as Jacob P. Adler. That is the correct person. However, this is an otherwise empty profile, and Jacob Adler did not use the letter P. in his name. The P. (which stands for a Russian patronymic, not a middle name) is used by sites like Wikipedia to differentiate him from other Jacob Adlers. I would personally list him as Jacob Adler, as that is the name he went by and the name on the cover of every edition of this book, but I understand if Goodreads has the same approach as Wikipedia.

A third edition of the book lists the author as Unknown Author.

Ideally, there should be one Jacob Adler profile for all of these editions, with biographical information from Wikipedia or YIVO.
