What are your past five star reads?

My last 5 star read was Archer's Voice and Before the exhale. Both had some deep emotions but worth it.

My last YA 5 star was Warcross by Marie Lu

I gave 5 stars to Grace of the Empire State by Gemma Tizzard which is a historical new adult about a young woman who disquises herself to do her brother's job as a riveter building the Empire State building after he is injured.

Last 5-star Read — “The Man Who Planted Trees” by Jean Giono with woodcut illustrations by Harry Brockway.
This one is super-short and drop-dead gorgeous

My most recent one was Lord Of The Flies by William Golding. I hate the author but I loved the book

Allen Levi’s “Theo of Golden” tells the story of Theo, an elderly, compassionate gentleman from Portugal. He visits Golden, GA from his home in New York City. He is alive to beauty: be it nature, art, music, and/or human beings. He makes an immense mark on the people of Golden.

The Unexpected Afterlife of Salon Rose

My latest 5 star read was billed as a 'murder mystery, coming of age while dead, afterlife love story' and it was soooo good!

Truly unlike anything I’ve ever read. I laughed and cried and got hit with all the feels AND the murder mystery aspect is such a page turner. The way the author mixed a murder mystery with such an emotional and heartwarming story is so impressive. Loved Salon and all the characters, especially Liv! Highly recommend to everyone, even though it’s YA i think it’s a book anyone who’s ever lost anyone needs to read.

Sounds like a winner, Charlotte!. I will definitely keep that book in mind. If you’d like a non-fiction book recommendation in return, I thought John Green’s “Everything Is Tuberculosis” was really gripping. Check it out.

I have wanted to read that book for a while!!

Well, Rosedall, I must warn you: unlike “The Fault in Our Stars,” which was a semi-happy book about CANCER, this one pulls out all the stops on the history of that dread disease, CONSUMPTION (a.k.a., TUBERCULOSIS). The Brontes died of it; John Keats died of it; if Percy Bysse Shelley hadn’t drowned, he would have died of it; and it kills loads of people around the world who can’t afford the drugs that cure people who have what is called DRUG-RESISTENT TUBERCULOSIS.

The Wretched Divine by Adalyn Grace it was a great book.

...after reading Why so Tired by Athan Smyrlis, let's just say that I finally understand why people use sleep masks. With guiding questions, a reassuring tone, and plenty of relatability, this no bullshit guide is a full 5 stars well earned. I'm still tired, but now I finally understand why. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-ARC in exchange for my review.

You've mentioned books by great authors that I've read and appreciated. But my 5 stars go to Cynthia M., a debut author.
I believe that if she had a publisher to support her, she could improve some plot ideas that still need polishing.
I discovered her on Goodreads – someone introduced me to her work. I'm not comparing her to the big names. But she has talent and courage, just like them. She's just self-taught and just getting started.
I chose her style. Give her a chance too.
