So there's an upcoming book coming out where the first printing of the book has sprayed edges and illustrated endpapers. The publisher has confirmed that printings of the book after the first will not have those extras. Both editions will have the same cover art and the same ISBN.
On the publisher website and Amazon, the art is set to an image of the book at an angle to show off the sprayed edges instead of just the cover art. On Goodreads, the cover art is set to a badly cropped variant of the Kindle cover, which is just the art by itself.
Presumably the art should be changed to match the publisher site (and maybe updated to a scan of the book cover after it releases and people have the hardcover in their hands), but what does this mean for the non-sprayed-edges hardcovers? If the publisher updates the cover art for the hardcover to be just the art by itself, should the cover just be updated in that way? It technically won't be an ACE since they'll both have the same art.
