Reading with Style discussion

The place for your general questions about the Fall season.

Apologies, as I haven't participated in a while. Can you remind me when the tasks get posted (other than Intel Buffet)? I am all excited about the prep.

I mean International Buffet 😀

The tasks come little by little. There may be some in a few days ;)
Have you seen the polls? You can vote on those now.

Thank you!

It looks like I can nominate a book for the group reads. If so, my nomination is Challenger: A True Story of Heroism and Disaster on the Edge of Space by Adam Higginbotham

Yes, thank you, Kathleen

I will nominate The Identicals for my group read.

Is there a timing on when task 10.8 will be available? Sorry to be a pest if this is common knowledge.

It should be very soon now. We haven't heard from the person nominated to set the task, so we're working on plan B.

Thank you!

With the new YA rules, if a book qualifies as YA and has a Lexile score under 700 does that mean we cannot claim it all, or just that we cannot claim style points?

Just that we cannot claim style points or use it for the subchallenge. It still works for a 10- or 20-point task (as long as it has at least 100 pages, of course).

Thank you!
