SUPERNATURAL
Duration: October 1 – October 31, 2026
This month, we will focus on the theme of Supernatural.
The word Supernatural describes things that exist or happen outside the normal laws of nature and science. It comes from Latin words meaning "above or beyond nature".
As Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet: “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
To join, post a message telling the challenge leader how many books you plan to read. If you are new to our group and/or our group challenges, take a moment to check out the Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly Challenges - Start Here thread for more information on how our challenges are run.
1. Read a book with a locked room mystery or a supernatural event.
2. Read a book where gods, angels or demons play a significant role.
3. Read a book where ghosts or spirits play a significant role.
4. Read a book based on folklore or myths.
5. Read a book with an author or character named Sam or Dean, like the TV series Supernatural.
6. Read a book with a black cover or a cover that gives you creepy vibes.
7. Read a book from the Goodreads list Best Supernatural Fiction .
8. Read a book with one of the following words in the title: Supernatural, Super or Natural.
9. Read a book set in or about a haunted location.
10. Read a book where the main character can use magic or see or talk to ghosts.
